We live on the Karikari Peninsula Doubtless Bay and are owner operators of Karikari Lodge. My husband Paul manages the day to day running of the Lodge, and I cook for our guests when needed. I love creating meals with locally sourced produce when in season. I am of Tongan decent and my Pacific Heritage and upbringing has taught me the value of preparing food with passion for all occasions. Malo. (Thank you.)
I will offer traditional Kiwi Kai. For Mains this could be anything from Weber cooked Lamb, Beef, and Pork Bellies, to Barbecued Steak and Chicken all serverd with Fresh Salads or an array of Cooked vegetables. Entrees would consist of Mussel or TuaTua Fritters, Pacific Style Raw Fish, Seafood Chowder and Seasonal Soup. Deserts would be a choice of Pavlova and Fresh Fruit with Ice cream, Cream Sponge and Fruit or Ice cream and Cream Puffs and Ice cream.
