Murray and Joan Ayson
We have a passion for cooking and meeting people to share our meals with. We love to travel both locally and overseas. Retired South Otago farmers, we have an intimate knowledge of the local area. Murray paints NZ landscapes of the southern South Island (oil on canvas) view www.murrayayson.com of places we travel for resource material. Joan's love of cooking food and sharing recipes with those who join us for meals has led me to professionally produce my own cookbook five years ago and a reprint also sold out. Our rural view is stunning and we can offer a walk through our 1 acre (.4 h) garden or chat over pre-dinner drinks before meal.
Food style
Entrees : choices of breads, dips & cheese or a soup.
Mains: NZ grown lamb, beef, chicken, pork or NZ salmon with locally grown vegetables/salads.
Desserts: hot or cold - also home cooked and prepared in our kitchen are lemon meringue pie, berry cheesecake, sticky date pudding, pavlova, or fresh fruit salad, each served with ice cream or yoghurt.
Gluten free can be accommodated if known ahead of time.
